Video Game, July 9-13; August 27-31

This camp will span the video game universe back in time. We will be studying the art and game play of old school video games. From Atari classics to Nintendo hits; from PC favorites to modern gaming consoles. Students will be engaged in the art behind the games, learning how to draw the characters that they play in the game. Guaranteed to be a good workout for your thumbs and imaginations.

Fantasy Illustration, July 16-20

This camp is for students who draw fantasy art and want to take their art to the next level. We will study techniques in penicl, pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor, and acrylic. We will cover a broad spectrum of Fantasy art ranging from Elves to Forest creatures, and from Wizard dens to Dragon's lairs, with styles ranging from fun cartoons to invovled fantasy fine art.

Fantasy Sculpture, August 6-10

Fantasy Sculpture is a fun spin off from fantasy cartooning and fantasy illustration. The world of faeries, wizards, warriors, dragons and other fantasy favorites come alive in the 3-D sculpture class. Students will be taught to translate their knowledge of 2-D drawing into the hand building techniques of ceramic clay. Projects include: Head/Facial construction, full body characters, and fantasy box creation.
